2022-02-12

Maersk

On February 9, Maersk said it would launch a new weekly service, TP28, to continue to support customers' growing freight demands and improve the reliability of its services.

The new trans-Pacific east coast service will mainly deploy ships of 4,500TEU, calling at ports including Vung Tau, Yantian, Ningbo and Shanghai, and transit through the Panama Canal, directly connecting the ports of Houston and Norfolk. Maersk is aiming for the new service to set sail from the port of Vung Tau on March 23 by the container ship "MAERSK WALLIS".

Meanwhile, the launch of the new service TP28 coincides with a change in the TP20 service rotation. The TP20 service will make the first direct call to Jakarta (instead of Vung Tau) on Maersk Pacific routes, with direct connections to Charleston (north) and Newark in Panama. Maersk said it hopes to gradually increase the size of ships deployed on the TP20 from 4,500 TEU to 6,500 TEU.

The new TP28 service will be exclusively operated by Maersk with a rotating route of: Vung Tau-Yantian-Ningbo-Shanghai-Houston-Norfolk. The TP20 revised rotation route is: Jakarta-Yantian-Ningbo-Shanghai-Charleston (North)-Newark.

ONE

ONE will launch a new service connecting North China and the Straits of Malacca.

The new weekly North China Straits (NCS) service will set sail from Xingang, China on February 24.

The NCS service rotation route is: Dalian-Xingang-Qingdao-Ningbo-Singapore-Port Kelang (West/North)-Shekou-Incheon-Dalian.

The first vessel on the service, the 2700TEU "SITC Surabaya" container ship, is expected to arrive at Xingang on February 24, omitting the Dalian port call to resume the schedule.

HMM

HMM has started calling Buenos Aires and Brazil on a new service linking Latin America and Asia.

The FIL service began calling on January 27 at Pier 4 in Buenos Aires, which is managed by APM Terminals.

The service makes calls to Brazil and Buenos Aires every 15 days, including ports in Singapore, India and China. All seven 4750TEU vessels in the service are deployed by HMM.

Service rotation ports include Chinese ports such as Shanghai, Ningbo and Shekou; Singapore; Pusan, South Korea; Kattupalli, India; Durban, South Africa; Brazilian ports of Santos, Paranaguá and Itajaí; Montevideo and Buenos Aires.

ZIM

ZIM announced the launch of the North China-Australia Express Service (C3A), which will connect major ports in North China, South Korea and Australia.

The rotation route of the new C3A service is: Xingang-Dalian-Qingdao-Busan-Ningbo-Sydney-Melbourne-Brisbane-Xinggang.

ZIM said seven 1,350TEU container ships will be deployed on the new weekly service route.

Danny Hoffmann, executive vice president of ZIM's internal business unit in Asia, said: "The C3A Express will provide customers in North China with fast transportation services to Australia, while expanding our Asia and Australia route portfolio."

The new Express Service (RES), Mekong Express (MGE) and Southeast Asia to Indian Subcontinent and Arabian Gulf (SIA) services are the company's additions to the Arabian Gulf to Asia (AGA) and North Asia Gulf Express (NAGE) services. Replenish.
