2023-12-14

At the end of December, MSC will enhance and adjust the "Sentosa-Shikra" service, which spans from India to the Far East and the US West Coast. This upgrade aims to provide direct services between Asia, Pakistan, and the US West Coast, improving connectivity and transportation times.

The route will include stops at the following ports: Port Klang West - Singapore - Port Klang North - Tanjung Pelepas - Busan - Los Angeles - Oakland - Busan - Qingdao - Shanghai - Ningbo - Shekou - Singapore - Colombo - Mundra - Karachi SAPT - Nhava Sheva - Colombo - Port Klang West. MSC previously merged its US West Coast route "Sentosa" with the former India route "Shikra" to create this multilateral trade route.

MSC is strengthening its "Sentosa-Shikra" pendulum service, and this independent MSC service will now include port calls at Karachi, Pakistan. The route service will be equipped with 13 vessels ranging from 13,000 to 15,400 TEUs, with a circulation time of 13 weeks.

The first vessel expected to undergo rotation is the "MSC ALEXANDRA," voyage GA351A, scheduled to depart from Busan on December 22, Shanghai on December 29, and Ningbo on December 30, 2023.
