Ningbo Zhoushan Port another container terminal berth opened

According to the news of Zhejiang Port, from February 9 to 10, the joint inspection team composed of Zhejiang Provincial Government Office, Hangzhou Customs, Zhejiang General Station of Border Inspection, Zhejiang Maritime Safety Administration, Zhoushan People's government and other units carried out the acceptance of the opening of the No.3 berth of Dapukou Container Terminal, Jintang Port District, Zhoushan Port, Ningbo.
The inspection team inspected the construction of wharf infrastructure and port inspection and supervision facilities on site, and listened to the report of Yongzhou Company's preparation for external opening and acceptance, as well as the acceptance opinions of inspection units on site, and finally unanimously agreed to open the berth.
It is reported that Ningbo Zhoushan Port Jintang Port Da Pukou Container Terminal project is a starting and demonstration project to implement the strategic decision of the provincial Party Committee and the provincial government on accelerating the resource integration of Ningbo Zhoushan Port and promoting the integration of Ningbo Zhoushan Port. It is also the first modern international container terminal of Zhoushan Port.
Five container berths are planned and designed in this project, among which the No. 3 berth is a large 100,000 ton container berth with a length of 340 meters and a width of 59 meters (the wharf structure is designed according to the berth of 150,000 ton container ships), and a two-way six-lane approach bridge with a length of 178 meters and a width of 27 meters is built.

At present, Berth 1 and Berth 2 of Dapukou Container Terminal in Jintang Port Area of Zhoushan Port of Ningbo are basically in a production saturation state. Berth 3 will effectively improve the loading and unloading capacity of foreign trade ships, further release the capacity of the terminal, relieve the production pressure of the terminal, and provide strong support for the new development pattern of "double cycle" service of Zhoushan Port of Ningbo.
