China-Laos Railway has been in operation for one year

As of December 2, the China-Laos Railway has been in operation for one year, with a total of 8.5 million passengers and 11.2 million tons of cargo transported, and the transportation safety remains stable.
The China-Laos Railway is a docking project between the China-proposed Belt and Road Initiative and Laos' strategy to convert itself from a landlocked country to a land-linked hub.
The electrified passenger and cargo railway that went fully operational on Dec. 3, 2021, is built with the full application of Chinese management and technical standards.

It has played a positive role in serving the convenient and efficient travel of the people of the two countries, smoothing the domestic and international dual cycles, and promoting the construction of the China-Laos Economic Corridor.
